About Ember & Ash Boudoir:
When I'm camping I know to absolutely make sure the campfire is completely out and doused. Even the smallest ember can cause a massive wildfire to start. I am really drawn to that word - Ember - that something so small could spark into something so powerful. As a lover of fantasy, myths, and sci-fi, the mythical bird Phoenix was symbolism I loved. The Phoenix dies in a glorious fire ball but then is reborn from the Ashes.
Ember & Ash encompasses what I feel about my own self love journey and what I hope other women are able to feel. You can spark a great fire in your soul and that once more find life even if all you have is ashes.
Who am I exactly?
I'm Emily. I have always had a passion for encouraging and empowering women of all ages. As a woman, I want to be open and honest about my own experiences because it can help someone who may be struggling.
I discovered boudoir in 2007 and remember watching these beautiful, stunning women be free in their bodies. 10 years later, I began my journey in studying, learning, observing, and being a woman who could offer boudoir. I wanted to give other women an incredible empowering experience. I have had multiple boudoir sessions of my own to help me bring empathy, understanding, and knowledge to each session I have the honor of being a part of.
My approach to photography is to focus on capturing authentic moments and honest feelings. I love details, laughter, and telling a story.
Session Info:
- All Sessions require a non-refundable $175 retainer to secure your preferred date and time.
- With the SMOLDER & FLARE sessions there is the option to purchase the remainder of your gallery for an additional $275.
- Client Closet has sizes from XS - 6X.
- I send a questionnaire for FLARE & BLAZE sessions to ensure we get the images and vibe YOU desire
- All sessions come with personalized posing that encompasses your whole body. Nothing is left to chance and I take great care that even your lips and fingers are posed *just right*.
- Session date can be rescheduled a maximum of 1 time within 30 days.

Boudoir sessions are an incredible moment in time that you have space to play, feel, celebrate, and BE you, all of you! What a beautiful and incredible thing! It may seem like something so small, but the impact will last a lifetime.
No Digitals or additional Products are included in your Session Retainer. Average client invests $3700 on their product. Session Retainer is non-refundable, but date transferable (1 time) within 90 days of original scheduled session. All sales are subject to Utah State Tax (7.25%). I do not offer Post Payment Plans. You may Prepay for your products or pay in full at your ordering session! Prepayment allows us to tailor your session to the products you desire!

I am so nervous!
It is a big step to put yourself in a vulnerable and honest place. But I am so proud of you for taking this step! When I say I will cheer you on, I mean it! When I say I want to be your hype lady, I am living for it! No matter how you feel I am here to encourage you and empower you every step of the way. You've got this. And you will walk out feeling like the Queen you are! I promise!
What if I don't have anything to wear?
I have a client closet that ranges from size XS - 6X. I have everything from sexy lingerie, accessories, sweaters, t-shirts, and other fun pieces to help create the perfect session for you!
How long does the experience last?
I tell clients to plan for 4 hours between Hair and Make up and Shoot time. The ordering session is scheduled after your session is complete. The feeling you walk away with will last much, much longer!
Will you make me look 100 pounds thinner, make my stomach flatter, take braces off my teeth, make my boobs bigger, etc.
I believe in loving yourself as you are right now. That said, I operate under the 2 week rule, if it's still going to be there in 2 weeks I do not touch it. I do not do heavy editing on your photos, only minor adjustments such as removing a scratch, a pimple, making your eyes a little brighter. I do not heavily alter your appearance because THIS experience is about loving YOURSELF as YOU are now. Scars are on a client by client basis. Some clients love their scars and want to showcase them, and some would like them removed. I'm okay with either of these please just let me know!
Do I get my product if I'm on a payment plan?
Your product is not ordered until full payment is received.
I want to gift a session as a surprise for my wife, girlfriend, friend, sister, mom, Aunt, etc.
I do not allow anyone to book a session for anyone else. Especially a SURPRISE session. If you want to pay for someone's session, that's fantastic and so thoughtful. However, I still need to talk to the client and make sure this is an experience THEY want. To me, this experience is very personal, intimate, and vulnerable that I don't want anyone to be surprised and not have the best outcome possible.
I'm worried I am too ugly for photos.
If you are reading this I want you to know that you are beautiful RIGHT NOW! You are NOT the exception. Boudoir is about showcasing the beautiful human you are. Boudoir is not a magic fix to make you suddenly love yourself, but a start or a part of your journey. It gives you physical evidence and a way to remind and reaffirm to yourself that you are beautiful, stunning, glorious, and ravishingly beautiful human RIGHT NOW.
I have a jersey, blanket, ring Etc I'd like to use.
Please bring whatever props you want. This session is for you! I'd love to incorporate anything special that you want!
What if I want my images private?
YOUR IMAGES ARE FOR YOU! When you book your session and I send the contract, you are given the option of if you want your images shared or not. You can change this decision at anytime. I always want to share every session I do because I love seeing women fall back in love with themselves and their body. BUT, I know this is also a very personal and vulnerable place to be in and a lot are not comfortable showing the world. THAT IS FINE! Your nudes are safe with me! I only share what YOU allow me to share!
What are my payment options?
The full session fee is do upon booking. You can also pay for your collection and products up front so we can tailor your entire session around what you will be ordering! Full payment of products is do at your ordering session. I do not accept Post Payment Plans - only Prepayment Plans!
What do you do with the images I do not buy?
I hold on to your session images for 6 months and then they are archived. If you decide that you want to review and purchase product after 6 months there is a $250 scheduling fee for a second ordering session.
What if I have a specific studio/location in mind?
I have a beautiful natural light studio located near downtown Salt Lake City. It has so many incredible options for your session. However, I understand you may want a different location and I am open to that! You can have your session at a different studio location or a home within Salt Lake County if you choose. Locations further than that will have an additional charge added to your invoice. We will discuss this during your consult call!
