ASHES TO BEAUTY
In the 10th Kingdom (my favorite movie) Wolf and Virginia are sitting in Snow White's Cottage having a conversation about their past and the past hurts in their life. Wolf says to Virginia: "You must do something magnificent with your life."
To which she scoffs out, "Oh yeah? Why?"
"Because your hurt is very great."
Growing up in the religious culture I did there was a constant phrase of ashes into beauty. One of my favorite verses talked about Gardens blooming from wastelands. In life, it's real easy to fall into the trap of only seeing the ashes, the barren, the crumbling ruins that come from pain and trauma. The temptation to quite literally stay in the sadness is so real. And I'll admit that there are times I set up camp and try to homestead.
But when I look back at what I have built when there was nothing but ruin around me, I am so proud of myself. And it's a reminder that as long as I have breath, I can still do something magnificent with my life.
My pain may be great, but that doesn't mean I cannot do something magnificent. My life once upon a time may have been a barren wasteland, but it is a beautiful garden with so much life and growth. I am so thankful for the people who stay in my life and continue to cheer me on so I can cheer others on
If I can remind or impart anything to you today it is that you may holding nothing but the crumbling remains of your life in your hands and your pain may be great, but you can rebuild. Your garden can still grow. Your ashes can still be turned to beauty.
Beautiful Miss F has visited me now multiple times for sessions and I have loved watching her confidence, strength, and inner power just grow. Witnessing her connecting to her inner goddess and knowing she is such an incredible beauty has been such a privileged to witness. If you are wanting to make space for your empowerment session I'd love to chat with you.
Until next time, just remember you are not stronger than the storm, you are the storm.
